The Environmental Group (TEG) is a certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) in the states of New York and New Jersey founded in November 1985. The vision and mission of TEG was to assist clients in the following areas of expertise:
- Evaluation of hazardous waste disposal sites to protect clients from “cradle to grave” liability while those sites were still operating in interim status
- Determine where manufacturing facilities were out of compliance and develop and implement a cost effective strategy to obtain and maintain compliance where necessary
- Develop and implement strategies for closing of major manufacturing facilities
In the late 1980s, TEG began to work with lending institutions to develop environmental assessment protocol tailored to each lender’s specific concerns and in assisting borrowers in obtaining funding for projects and purchases where areas of environmental concern exist for the sites.
TEG has performed numerous assessments and developed and implemented remediation strategies for a diverse group of clients ranging from lending institutions, owners/operators, developers, municipalities and state agencies nationwide.
In 1998, TEG further honed their mission again by providing engineering disciplines and a broad range of environmental services. In this way, TEG ensures that all members of its staff can maintain optimum integrity in supporting the goals of its customers, something that has become more and more challenging with the emergence of designated Brownfields sites.
